Pupils from KS4 Comms braved the freezing temperatures to take a trip to Manchester yesterday. We travelled by bus, then tram with pupils being able to buy their own tram tickets.
Once in Manchester, we navigated the hustle and bustle of the city centre really well and found the Tudor buildings we wanted to see in preparation for us building our own Tudor buildings in school.
Following this, we walked down Market Street and enjoyed looking at the different Christmas market stalls that were full of different Christmas goodies.
We earned a well-deserved sit down, rest and food at Pizza Hut where everyone thoroughly enjoyed the different pizzas on offer. ‘Delicious’, ‘fantastic’, ‘so tasty’ were just some of the descriptions from the pupils!
We walked back through Manchester and returned to school via the tram and bus. 8000 steps later, everyone was ready to relax in the warmth.
All pupils were absolutely fantastic throughout the day and were a credit to Samuel Laycock. I am very proud of each of them!
