9C - A Wonderful Day at Chester Zoo
On Wednesday, the weather was a little on and off with rain, but that did not stop us from having a fantastic day out at Chester Zoo. From the moment we arrived, there was a real sense of excitement as pupils set off to explore the zoo and discover some of the amazing animals living there.
During the day, pupils had the chance to see a wide range of animals, and there were plenty of wonderful moments to share. Children watched carefully, asked thoughtful questions and used their observation skills to notice how different animals move, eat and behave. It was lovely to see such curiosity and enthusiasm throughout the visit.
One of the highlights of the trip was exploring the Asia area, which linked beautifully to our learning in humanities. This gave pupils the opportunity to make connections between the animals they saw and the places they come from. They learned more about habitats, climates and how living things are suited to their environments. These experiences helped bring our classroom learning to life in a memorable and meaningful way.
Despite the changing weather, everyone showed brilliant resilience and a very positive attitude. The children represented the school exceptionally well and supported one another throughout the day. It was a pleasure to share such an enjoyable and enriching experience with them at Chester Zoo.
