What an incredible World Book Day celebration we had at Samuel Laycock School!

The enthusiasm was contagious as pupils and staff embraced the opportunity to dress up as their favourite book characters. The halls were alive with the spirit of adventure and imagination!

Our tutor groups really showcased their creativity with the Book Character Scarecrow competition. It was amazing to see the imaginative interpretations of beloved characters brought to life throughout the school.

The ‘Guess the Reader’ competition organised by our dedicated staff added an extra layer of excitement to the day. It was a fun challenge trying to match the staff members with their favourite books, and it definitely got everyone talking about their love for reading.

Crafting our own bookmarks was a delightful activity that allowed us to personalise our reading experiences. It was a simple yet meaningful way to express our individuality and creativity.
